For those of you that follow our social media page and blog posts you will know that over the last year we have been talking about an event called ‘An Experience with Mel Gibson’. Well it finally happened (well some of it).

Sadly it was postponed nearly a year ago due to covid. But we did not dwell on that, instead we took the positive stance that as headline sponsors we would gain much more exposure from the event marketing as our logo appeared on everything! We too carried out our own marketing promoting the event along with running a social media competition to win tickets to the events in Birmingham, Leeds and Glasgow.

Then Literally a few weeks before the first date we found out only one of the four events was going to happen this year and the other three due to Mel Gibsons busy filming schedule would not happen until 2022. Which did mean our competition winners would have to wait a little longer to attend the event.

However as part of the core team from dandi London we were still able to attend the London event. Joining us at our table was our fantastic PR agency, We are FEP along with actress Laura Pradelska famed for her role in Game of Thrones and British actress and model Roxanne McKee, best known for playing Louise Summers in the British Soap Opera Hollyoaks.

And what a night we all had….

Our stand in the foyer showcased our brand and enabled visitors to come and chat about our products. Throughout the evening our new brand video was played on two vast screens to the audience of 1700 people. The compere mentioned the brand on numerous occasions and we have four pages in the event programme, plus our logo appeared on various banners across the venue (Arora Ballroom, InterContinental).

Plus of course as a team we were able to glam up for the night, enjoy an amazing meal, be entertained by a live band, get involved in a memorabilia auction, have a few drinks and get to meet and listen to Mel Gibson share his stories from the start of his career and how he got the role of Mad Max through to telling us about his nine children…What an amazing night, the wait was definitely worth it.
