Not so sweaty experience on a popular TV Show
Lights, camera’s and stress can get lots of people hot under the collar, but after Theresa Pope appeared on Dragons’ Den one thing she did not suffer with was underarm sweat. Theresa, one of the co-founders of dandi® London appeared on the BBC show on Thursday 30th March 2023 to seek investment for the brand.
Theresa pitched with the hope of winning over the five dragons, Touker Suleyman, Sara Davies, Deborah Meaden, Peter Jones and Steven Bartlett, in a bid to secure funding to take their business to the next level.
Theresa Pope and Hayley Leete established dandi® London to provide little solutions to big problems initially all relating to sweat.
Wearing one of the companies sweat products the dandi® patch, she was able to keep her cool and not get hot and sweaty during her pitch.
Theresa explained about the company and the products that dandi® London provide, which are primarily alternative sweat management solutions for men and women.
Although on this occasion dandi® London did not secure funding Theresa is still proud that she appeared on the show.
“We knew in advance that we may not secure funding, however the audience of this very popular TV show on BBC has enabled us to generate awareness of our products including those that suffer from sweat and have a lack of confidence due to it. We are hoping that the coverage of the show will enable those people that have suffered for such a long time to have now found a solution to their problem.
It was an experience I will never forget and was able to walk away with lots of feedback from the Dragons.”

Notes to editors
Theresa Pope and Hayley Leete established dandi® London to provide little solutions to big problems initially all relating to sweat. The idea for the patch was thought up by Hayley due to being in a sticky situation herself regarding sweat under her arms at a business meeting.
There is no other sweat product as advanced as dandi® patch. Ergonomically designed for men and women to the shape of the armpit sweat gland, dandi® patch ensures optimum results. The sweat patch is ultra-thin making it as discreet as possible, and the clear surround is made with a skin-friendly adhesive.
The products enable confidence in appearance whilst addressing consumer concerns regarding the potentially harmful substances deodorants, anti-perspirants, hair removal products and skin contact products contain.
