The team here at dandi patch are thrilled to reveal that our Co-Founder and Managing Director Theresa Pope has been nominated for a NatWest Great British Entrepreneurship Award 2018. Previous winners of this worldwide recognised award include James Watt, owner of BrewDog and David Buttress, CEO of the huge takeaway chain "Just Eat".
The awards themselves are judged by a panel of 14 well-known judges including Julie Deane OBE, owner and founder of The Cambridge Satchel Company, a host of other senior figures from Deloitte and many others. The fortunate winner will be announced and presented with the award in London on the 28th November 2018. The specific category we have been nominated for is the small business award, within the London and The South East region, amongst a number of other strong, driven entrepreneurial candidates. Having been nominated for a GBEA award last year (2017) and attending the ceremony, the team are now keener than ever to keep pushing harder and harder to make the business a success and to try and achieve everything we possibly can along the way!
Theresa has been nominated for this prestigious award due to her ongoing persistence, and development of the dandi brand. Over the last 5 years, she has worked hard to continuously develop the dandi patch to bring us up to the point we are at today. The product has now sold in over 40 countries worldwide, allowing consumers to control their underarm sweating issues. The company and product itself have both come a long way over the last 5 years, with a total rebranding within the last 2 years and continuous development of the product itself to meet the needs of the target market. Theresa has dug deep and stuck by the process all the way, managing and overseeing the project despite numerous hard times and setbacks. As well as this the dandi team are investigating the possibility of bringing out new products to add to our current portfolio; make sure you keep up to date with our latest news to see whats coming next!
Being nominated for such a prestigious award means a great deal to the team, as it shows that we are being recognised nationwide and that other people are showing great belief in our products and ideas.
